Painting is a quest to incorporate three-dimensionality into points, lines, planes, and space. In this work, I disassembled three-dimensional forms, rearranged them on a flat surface, treated them as planes, and expanded the space behind them. This space represents the universe; a profound, breathing cosmic space. The faces on the canvas express what was once held within those three-dimensional forms. Perhaps the birth of life from the universe is something like this.
